Freedom of religion is one of those fundamental freedoms upheld in Hong Kong. The country's basic laws protect this freedom of citizens to practice their own religion. For a country like Thailand, tourism means a lot. Its national economy is highly dependent on tourism, which serves to be one of the nation's primary sources of income. Huge amounts of effort have already been made to establish Thailand as a global tourism destination and succeeded at it. Past tragedies, like the 2004 tsunami and the 2008 political crisis, have almost destroyed this source of income, but the Thais have proved that they can withstand such unfortunate events. Hong Kong has always served as the bridge between China and the West. It is in this city where you will find conservative Chinese values mixed together with the Western liberal capitalistic views. Years of being a trading post of the British Empire allowed it to have a lifestyle significantly separate from the rest of the mainland.
