For many a reason, people go abroad to many different countries in all of the world, but there are people who travel to particular countries specifically so that they could assist with whatever situation it is that may be unfolding in the land.
Some would simply go out of the country in order to have a serious meeting with another nation's business experts or what have you, but there are hardly any people who actually leave their country simply to volunteer, helping out the citizens of the world in every little way that they can.
